Infratil Update on Lübeck Airport

20 Jul 2005

Infratil announced on 15 April that it had entered into a conditional agreement to purchase 90% of the shares in Luebeck Airport in northern Germany from the City of Lübeck. The agreement was conditional upon the Airport obtaining planning approval for a runway extension and associated work.

Infratil has been advised that the relevant German court has declined to give planning approval at this time. It is now unlikely that the conditional agreement will be confirmed in its present terms.

Infratil will shortly meet with representatives of the City to discuss the full ramifications of this court decision.
