Wellington International Airport Introduces Interim Increase in Charges

24 Jun 2002

Wellington International Airport Limited (WIAL) announced today an interim increase in landing charges of 10% to apply from 1 July 2002 for major airline customers (Air New Zealand Group and Qantas) and 1 August 2002 for smaller airlines operating at Wellington Airport. The interim increase has been agreed with the major airlines.

Consultation over the final level of charges is continuing between WIAL and the major airline customers (including the Board of Airline Representatives) as prescribed in the Airport Authorities Act.

There will be no increase in passenger international departure charges.
