Serguo Holidays Expands Reservations into Glasgow Prestwick

13 Dec 2005

Seguro Holidays, Glasgow Prestwick's biggest tour operator, is to open a call centre at the airport.

The company is relocating its Agents Reservations Centre from Macclesfield to Scotland in January to forge closer links with its agents, as well as streamlining invoicing and ticketing.

Seguro, which has been flying from Prestwick for seven years, specialises in holidays and flights from the airport to the Algarve, Benidorm, Costa Brava, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Majorca and Tenerife.

Last year some 60,000 Seguro passengers headed for the sun from Glasgow Prestwick, and that figure is set to increase this year.

Glasgow Prestwick's Paula Horne said: "Seguro Holidays is our largest tour operator and its relocation of reservations and administration to Glasgow Prestwick not only creates jobs in the local area but further strengthens our relationship with the operator."

The move comes after Seguro was voted "Best Specialist Short-Haul Tour Operator" by travel agents at last month's Scottish Passenger Agents' Association annual awards. This award puts a travel agent's stamp of approval on the operator's product and is something that many tour operators aspire to achieve.

Seguro's Summer 2006 brochure is now available and has been
increased to 72 pages to give more information on all the new properties on offer. For the first time, Seguro is offering self-catering and hotels in Spain's Costa Brava/Dorada for the full summer season.
