First domestic route for Lubeck Airport

13 May 2008

Lübeck Airport and Infratil Airports Europe are delighted to announce today (Tuesday May 13) that Ryanair will operate the airport’s first domestic service to Frankfurt Hahn.

The Irish airline, which currently operates six international services from Lübeck, will commence flights to Frankfurt Hahn on Sunday October 26.

The service will operate every day in a 189-seater Boeing 737-800 aircraft, departing Lübeck at 11.00 and arriving in Frankfurt Hahn at 12.05. Bookings can be made at www.ryanair.de

Tom Wilson, General Manager of Lübeck Airport, said: “We are delighted by the announcement of this new route between Lübeck and Frankfurt Hahn which will be Ryanair’s second domestic route in Germany.

“For Lübeck however, it is our first domestic route and we are confident that Ryanair’s low fares will provide travellers with a cost-effective alternative to other domestic operators.”

Anja Seugling, Ryanair’s Sales and Marketing Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, said: “We are expecting to carry an additional 100,000 passengers per year at Lübeck Airport as a result of this new route.

“Prices start from only €10 including all taxes and charges and we are confident that our low prices will provide valuable competition with Lufthansa’s high fares from Hamburg.”
