ENE Chairman Succession

Energy Developments Limited (ASX: “ENE” or the “Company”) announced today that after over six years as an independent Director, its Chairman, Dr Peter Cassidy has advised the Company that he will not be seeking re-election as a Director at the Company’s Annual General Meeting on 5 November 2009. He will continue as Chairman and Director of ENE until that date.
The ENE Board has invited Mr Bruce Brook, an existing Non Executive Director, to take up the position of independent Chairman upon the retirement of Dr Cassidy. Mr Brook is standing for re-election at the AGM.
Mr Brook joined the ENE Board on 7 April this year. Bruce is currently a non executive director of Lihir Gold Limited, Snowy Hydro Limited and Boart Longyear Limited, and has previous significant management experience working with entities as diverse as Price Waterhouse, Gold Fields of South Africa, CRA Ltd, Pasminco, Pacific Dunlop, ANZ Bank and WMC Resources.
Mr Brook said: “Peter has made a valuable contribution to the direction of the Company over the last six years and on behalf of the Board we wish Peter well.”
