Take off to Wellington Airport's Open Day for free
On Sunday, 1 November the Airport Flyer is providing free travel to and from Wellington Airport’s public open day.
The Airport Flyer will run the free services from 9am – 3pm, allowing customers to enjoy the full day of celebrations without having to worry about finding themselves transport.
Matthew Lear, General Manager of Valley Flyer, believes the free travel will allow people to enjoy the celebrations who otherwise may not have been able to attend.
“At Valley Flyer, we like to support events that get the whole community together,” says Mr Lear. “The Wellington Airport public open day will offer a variety of activities for the whole family and we are delighted that we can offer free travel to get people there to join in the fun.”
The free services offered by the Airport Flyer will allow the whole family to come along, enjoy the celebrations and also experience the new and enhanced Airport Flyer bus service. The new buses offer air-conditioning, leather seats, FREE Wi-Fi onboard and will provide customers with a first-class ride to the airport.
GO Wellington is also offering a free shuttle to transport people from Rongotai College (where you can park for a gold coin donation) to the venue and back again.
The public open day celebrates the 50th anniversary of the opening of Wellington Airport and will run from 10am – 2pm on Sunday, 1 November.
