Infratil Chairman, Mr Mark Tume, today announced the appointment of Alison Gerry to the Infratil Board.
Ms Gerry has had a career in finance and treasury, working in Sydney, Hong Kong, Tokyo and London. Ms Gerry has been a professional company director since 2007 and is currently Deputy Chair of Kiwibank and a director of NZX Ltd, TVNZ, Queenstown Airport and Pioneer Generation.
Ms Gerry has a Masters of Applied Finance from Macquarie University and a Bachelor of Management Studies (1st class honours) from Waikato University. Ms Gerry was also a visiting fellow at the Applied Finance Centre of Macquarie University for 12 years until 2011.
Mr Tume said that the Board welcomed the experience Ms Gerry would bring to the Board and that Ms Gerry would also be chair of the Board's Audit & Risk Committee.
The appointment of Ms Gerry to fill a casual vacancy will bring the number of directors of Infratil Limited to six. Consistent with the constitution, Ms Gerry will be required to retire and seek election at the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting on 12 August 2014.
The Company considers that Ms Gerry is an independent director.
