Further to the announcement last week confirming Canberra Data Centres’ (“CDC”) acquisition of the CDC Eastern Creek data centre campus in Western Sydney, Infratil is pleased to announce that CDC has entered into new customer contracts that will underwrite further development of its data centre facilities in Sydney and Canberra.
The contracts from new and existing customers will be delivered partly from expansion of CDC’s existing data centres while also requiring the development of new data centres. The customer contracts have a staggered delivery schedule from February 2019 through to completion by the end of the 2020 calendar year and support the business growth rates of between 20% and 30% annually. Securing these contracts supports CDC’s strategy of focusing on government, cloud and national critical infrastructure clients.
