Trustpower pleased to announce wireless broadband and mobile services on the way

20 Nov 2018

Trustpower is pleased to announce they have secured the ability to provide wireless broadband and mobile services to their customers after entering into an agreement with Spark.

GM Markets, Craig Neustroski says, “Trustpower has been seeking access to mobile services for some time, and is delighted to have secured a wholesale supply arrangement with Spark.

“Mobile is increasingly important to our customers, and the ability to offer it as part of our household services bundle is exciting.” Says Neustroski.

Trustpower has a large provincial and rural customer base who will not have access to fibre in the near future, being able to provide wireless broadband services to these customers is a great alternative. Spark has invested heavily in its mobile network to consistently increase both speed and capacity with coverage reaching just over 97% of the population.

Tribe Leader for Spark Wholesale, Jilyut Wong says, “Spark is planning to deliver hundreds more cell sites over the next few years to ensure service resilience and extra data capacity, and is the only network operator in New Zealand to offer enhanced 4.5G mobile services.” This opportunity rounds off a successful year for Trustpower, which has seen the company add 9000 new broadband customers, and following further investment in its ISP network, rank number one in the Netflix speed index in New Zealand for 10 months in a row, as well as winning several sector awards.

The Trustpower team are looking forward to working with Spark to develop wireless broadband and mobile services for their customers over the coming months.
